Cashier Associate

Job Overview

The cashier associate is responsible for owner & shopper confidence and loyalty by providing accurate, fast and courteous owner/shopper checkout. This individual maintains financial responsibility in his/her service lane.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous attention to owner/shopper needs; greet, assist and thank individuals in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
  • Listen to and appropriately escalate owner/shopper concerns to management with a positive attitude.
  • Manage lane according to service standards.
  • Inform owner/shoppers of specials and promotions as requested by RCC or store management.
  • Properly record sales through the scanning system; operate cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently recognizing all forms of tender and providing the correct change when appropriate.
  • Stock Front End products; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost.
  • Put up discarded or returned merchandise.
  • Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
  • Return carts to shopping cart corral.
  • Assist in training new cashiers.
  • Notify management of associate theft, shoplifting, unauthorized mark- downs, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against RCC’s policy.

Hospitality Associate (Assistant Customer Service Manager)

Job Overview

The hospitality associate will deliver owner & shopper confidence and loyalty by providing accurate, fast and friendly customer service desk and media services in accordance with RCC’s guidelines, policies and procedures. This role will satisfactorily resolve customer concerns or escalate them to appropriate level of management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous attention to owner/shopper needs; greet, assist, and thank individuals in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
  • Address owner/shopper issues/complaints and resolve to full satisfaction of owner or shopper immediately, within RCC’s guidelines while maintaining composure and professionalism; appropriately escalate issues to management with a positive attitude.
  • Coordinate daily store cash and accounting functions in accordance with RCC’s guidelines, policies and procedures and management instruction.
  • Maintain knowledge of front end operations and stay current on changes in policies and procedures in order to preserve and proactively support department service levels and accountability.
  • Troubleshoot problems with front end equipment on computer desktop or by contacting the CoPOS retail service help desk as needed.
  • Stock front end products; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost.

Maintenance Associate

Job Overview

The Maintenance associate is a part of the Cashier team, with designated end of night shift devoted to cleaning. This person serves as an extra person for covering breaks, answering the phone, doing customer service in the aisles and acting as a cashier in the case of a call-out. Their main duty is to clean the entire store to make it ready for the next day’s business, which includes a detailed checklist. This position is one of the more physically demanding in the store.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by being socially skilled, outgoing, friendly, always smiling and exhibiting a positive attitude while exhibiting a great sense of urgency.

Produce Associate

Job Overview

The produce associate will support the department manager with the daily operations of the produce department. This position will support the department manager with implementing plans to ensure owner & shopper confidence and loyalty by executing consistent operating conditions, providing fresh and appealing products, providing courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service and a friendly atmosphere. In addition, this position assumes department operational responsibility in the absence of the manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the department manager with the management of inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, security, expense control and other operational processes to RCC’s standards.
  • Support the department manager in ensuring the department achieves the standards of performance as outlined by RCC.

Pricing Associate (Scanning Coordinator)

Job Overview

The pricing associate is responsible for the pricing integrity of the co-op. This position will administer price changes and resolve pricing issues. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent operating conditions, providing courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service and a friendly atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing pricing integrity to RCC’s standards; ensure shelf labels and signs are correct and maintained in all departments including price changes, advertised items, etc.
  • Ensure all displays have signs and items without UPC codes are priced.
  • Resolve pricing problems and price file discrepancies.
  • Obtain operational updates via emails and other forms of communication, disseminate to department team members and execute RCC’s directives.
  • Conduct test scans on categories of merchandise to ensure price accuracy, description, department and taxability.
  • Ensure team members greet, assist, provide efficient service and thank owners & shoppers in a prompt, courteous, friendly manner in order to promote the RCC’s image as a service-oriented operation.
  • Ensure the store is well-maintained and meets or exceeds RCC’s standards for appearance.
